We play video games for the fun and the endings. I think the thrill of it made it worth finishing. No need to judge a game if it's all about play. Alas, it definitely keeps you playing and that's the most important of all...

Fun, but definitely buggy.
Thanks for the games, I did have the screen cut off, but eventually figured it out. I am sure it would arrive higher without the bugs, but it is does fit the mold of a good game. I would also state that it is playing it safe, with standard difficulty and obstacles. Competing with existing games in this genre, it would be very damaged by the bugs, but more successful based on good theme, music, control, and character likeability.

Definitely test more next time. But good job at getting quality in your work. {Y}

Thank you! I realized the screen cut off/camera not following the player has to do with browser zoom + flash, which is out of my control. I'm curious what other bugs you found, because as far as I'm aware there aren't too many. One person reported that a disk didn't appear one playthrough, which is a serious bug. Some of the "bugs" that have been reported are intentional aspects of the game. I play tested it bunch myself as well as with a number of other people. What bugs did you find?

This is an awesome game. It's simple and easy. The multi-select makes gameplay extreme and almost arcade like in simplicity.

I do have a few notes. While the speed and strength do an awesome job of upgrading and display, the reproduction and defense seem to do almost nothing. After maxing out, I find truly how unimportant both were at all. The reproduction is a bit of a mystery as some cells cause more than other. I have never seen a defense or improved reproductivity, but I know it's in there somewhere...

And final note: what's with Newgrounds windows? When I click drag the window starts to scroll, and how in the world can I concentrate on the gameplay during this madness. The controls though awesome seem to glitch at time where my mouse over it has no effect.

It's a great game, besides that. I'd be interested for the next, and when interface gets to the next level. Wait a go!

Space Shooter Genre Would Be Proud...

I seriously was about to dish this game when I first started playing and thinking I could just add more junk to my ship and just pass through the levels seamlessly with tricks, and continuous shooting... but then it got interesting.

The game got clever, as I played on, especially after I reached the tech limit. I became entrenched about my maneuvers, the different types of enemies, timing when to shoot, when not to shoot, and finally the timely incorporation of the bomb. For a 2D game, I sure did remember the feel of a flight sim for a minute there. 74 tries to beat the last level, worth the wait, despite the non-narrative victory scene, which sort of goes against the game's design anyway.

The game comes in a intense yet supersimple package and fits perfectly in the arcade genre. It's easy to pick up, challenging to play, and even after playing expertly many times I think it will still challenge speed, memory and dexterity of the player.

I could definitely see this as a predecessor for a type of Flight Sim, even in Flash with a bit more fancy 3D, etc, but this edition is fine as it is.

Excellent Game.

This is a great game. It tests dexterity, speed & coordination. It is frustrating at the beginning because of the minute scale, but that is part of the game's arcade feel, and players should really get over the collision factor, which is a +/- part of every game.

People who just play to win can just learn a few tricks and laze out for most games, but this game requires patience to get the right combinations for victory with both hands. Now, I haven't seen a game that held both hands rather equally and separately before, almost like a sport.

I would note one thing for the tenth point--it's conditional, because of the fact that there is no story or victory scene for people to feel accomplishment over. I suppose minor things like a victory scene, graphic, or dialog would make players a bit more happy to keep playing the game, and convince that the game deserves more 4's and 5's. Despite being the simple arcade, it has a really remarkably promising interface and level structure.

Thanks for the great review :),

I put myself on a really strict deadline for this game, I'll make sure I do a better job with the finishing touches in the sequel.

and thanks for playing :)

Life After Death

There is life after death. The body is only upgradeable hardware. but the soul is eternal software.

For a life game, it should at least include a purgatory.

Great Game Play, Levels...

This is an excellent game, and design, but it seems as if it is lacking something... Maybe levels, or something to distract from the nihilistic fact that there is only one way for the game to end.

Good Game Variation.

Pretty Graphics, Could Use Drama

This is quite a nice reproduction of a standard format, with very nice drawings and interaction. An intro would definitely bring in interest. Also, a better soundtrack could really improve things.

Nice Start.

Promising Style.

This is a really nice variation on the mouse game. It is a bit difficult. If this is a demo, I'd definitely like to see the final game. Also the music stopped for some reason.

Nice Experiment.

Definitely Nice Graphics

This is a nicely graphic Escape the Room Game. Light music may help, and a bit more drama in the scene--maybe something to suggest event or motive.

Good 3D work.
